WHY DOES COMPLIANCE MATTER?
At CannonHale we believe if you are not producing CBD products at the international food safety standards that modern food and nutraceutical companies currently meet, then you are placing your consumers at risk. All CannonHale hemp-derived products are subject to stringent internal and 3rd-party compliance and quality testing measures.
CannonHale is audited and accredited against the BRC Issue 8 Standard for food safety. Brand Reputation Compliance (established 1998), formally referred to as British Retail Consortium is a globally benchmarked standard recognized under the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). The BRC is the most rigorous GFSI audit scheme.
CannonHale is audited and accredited against Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). These standards are required to meet the guidelines recommended by agencies that control the authorization and licensing of the manufacture and sale of food and beverages, cosmetics and supplements.
An FDA registered facility allows the FDA the option to audit the manufacturing practices, document retention, and recall procedures of a facility. CannonHale is current with its inspections and audits.
The U.S. Hemp Authority™ Certification Program is our industry’s initiative to provide high standards, best practices and self-regulation, thereby giving confidence to consumers and law enforcement that hemp products are safe, and legal. In an effort led by the U.S. Hemp Roundtable, industry leading firms, top-tier testing laboratories, and quality assessors developed comprehensive guidance for growers and processors of hemp.
